Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade

I thought for a change I'd make a post about something that is NOT Disney, but I hope you enjoy all the same!  Today's post has some pictures from my recent trip to Orlando, Florida, where I spent a day at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

First up here's a picture of the beautiful Gryffindor Tower.  It is part of Hogwarts Castle and part of the facade of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

Next is a pictures of Hermione's Yule Ball dress (movie version, as her dress in the book is blue, not pink) that's inside a window in Hogsmeade!

Out and about in Hogsmeade you will find many wonderful and magical shops, including this one: Owl Post! You can even send a REAL postcard stamped that it is being sent from Hogsmeade!

The exit gift shop for Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is also called "Filch's Emporium of Confiscated Goods" :)  Love it!

In the queue for Flight of the Hipogriff stands Hagrid's Hut.  For fans of the books and movies alike, this is a welcome and wonderful sight.  I know it was for me!

Saving the best for last, here is today's picture of Hogwarts Castle!  I personally am a HUGE fan of the Harry Potter books and enjoy the movies, so to see the castle brought to life was really a magical experience!  I remember my first glance at it from the freeway when we were driving to the park and I was instantly in love.  Enjoy!
